Something To Think About:
Should you find it hard to get to sleep tonight;
Just remember the homeless family who has no bed to lie in.
Should you find yourself stuck in traffic; don't despair.
There are people in this world for whom driving is an unheard of privilege.
Should you have a bad day at work;
Think of the man who has been out of work for thelast year.
Should you despair over a relationship gone bad;
Think of the person who has never known what it's like to love and be loved in return.
Should you grieve the passing of another weekend;
Think of the woman in some third world country, working twelve hours a day, seven days a week, for $15.00 to feed her family.
Should your car break down, leaving you miles away from assistance;
Think of the paraplegic who would love the opportunity to take that walk.
Should you notice a new gray hair in the mirror;
Think of the cancer patient in chemo who wishes she had hair to examine.
Should you find yourself at a loss and pondering; what is life all about, what is my purpose?
Be thankful, there are those who didn't live long enough to get the opportunity.
Should you find yourself the victim of other people's bitterness, ignorance, smallness or insecurities;
Remember, things could be worse. You could be them!!!

I was telling someone the other day I think I found the secret of contentment.
I try to be thankful, every day, for everything. The ability to walk, talk, the use of all my limbs, to read, write, to be able to see the sun set, and rise, and so much more to be thankful for.
For being able to get out of bed in the morning. And dressing ourselves. a lot of people can’t do that. Some, even if they could, don’t have legs to pants on.
For being able to take a shower in the morning. In the Philippines I showered with a plastic sauce pan that I used to pour the water over my head. That’s because the family I was with had money! One half of the world’s population doesn’t have adequate drinking water, let alone water to shower with.
For relaxing to a cup of coffee in the morning. I’ve been in countries where most people in America spent more at McDonald’s for a coffee in the morning then the average person in that country makes in a day.
For being able to walk into a grocery store and having a bigger selection of food then Solomon in all his glory had to chose from. In Vietnam I seen people picking bugs out of each others hair - and eating them. Not because the bugs tasted good, but because that was about all they had eat. I seen people catching cockroaches and putting them in a little pull string bag for something to eat later on in the day.
Next time you feel like complaining, if you don’t want to think about any of the above think about this.
1 Cor 10:10 don’t complain as some of those that came out of Egypt did, and they were destroyed for it.
1 Cor 10:11 for these things are written (that is how the Almighty destroyed his people for complaining) as examples for us, for our admonition, upon whom the end of the age has come.
I’ll be adding more to this article, for there’s much to say in the Scriptures about complaining.
