This article was taken from “Answer.com Newsletter” which they send out periodically concerning some of the most asked questions on their site. I thought coming from them rather then stating my understanding on the subject of Easter might be less offensive to some who revere some of these holidays, such as Christmas, Easter, and Halloween, which do not have their foundation in the Bible, and have nothing to do with Almighty Yahuweh and/or His Son, Yahshua the Messiah.
I fully understand that many people have some deep-rooted, well established, family ‘traditions’ that they want to hang to, but for those of us that have surrendered our lives to the Savior and are allowing him to live his life in us, it should be more important that we observe and practice that which he would observe and practice, and not days, and festivals that the Messiah would find offensive, regardless of what family, friends or anyone else is this world might think of us. It’s called “losing our lives so that we might find life.“ (Luke 9:23-24).
